Beau's, known for barbecue and Southern sides, will be catering Friday night's VIP dinner during Red, White & Q.
PANAMA CITY — Red, White & Q debuts Memorial Day weekend at McKenzie Park in the heart of downtown, boasting Southern flair and fare with a BBQ competition, cornhole tournament and country music.
"One of our board members is a big barbecue enthusiast; he wanted to bring something similar to Memphis in May," said Lori Allen, executive director of the Gulf Coast Children's Advocacy Center (GCCAC). "This is our first year with a dozen competitors and we plan on moving it to a sanctioned event next year. They love that it's Memorial Day weekend and this is a destination."
