Leamington council has a tough decision to make when it comes to selecting a police service, but that choice won’t include Chatham-Kent’s department.
A report coming to a special meeting of Leamington council Tuesday is recommending the bids for a five-year policing contract from both Chatham-Kent police and the Windsor Police Service not be accepted. The report also recommends the town continue to receive policing from the OPP, even though council voted last year to terminate that contract over dissatisfaction with the service being provided.
