The Crawfordsville | Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Duke Energy, is pleased to announce a new award honoring county teachers. The Chamber of Commerce Emerald Educator award will be presented annually to one teacher, administrator, or other individual who exemplifies the award criteria in each of the three Montgomery County school corporations.
In the inaugural year, The Chamber will celebrate all Montgomery County educators during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 3-7, 2021.
“Teachers and education professionals have overcome challenge after challenge in the past year, and we want them to know how appreciated they are. We’ve seen teachers literally meeting students where they are, not only to ensure the education process moves forward for all, but also going above and beyond to check-in with their students’ general well-being during the pandemic and to support parents who were thrust into home learning situations. The Chamber with Duke Energy would like to publicly recognize all of those educators this year. We also recognize that coaches, counselors, aides and many, many other school staff and volunteers play a major role in the education process. We celebrate all of those educators as well. Thank you all for your dedication, innovation, and compassion to keep students safe and learning.
