CARICOM members Barbados, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago recognize State of Palestine

On 19 April, 2024, amidst what Barbados’s Prime Minister Mia Mottley described as the world’s first televised genocide in Gaza, the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Kerrie Symmonds announced the intention of the Government to recognize the State of Palestine.
