Campers along the southeast Queensland coastline are now being warned to stay put and that the time to relocate has passed as the Bureau issues a new severe weather warning.
The Bureau of Meteorology warned that heavy rainfall between 120 to 160mm in just six hours may lead to flash flooding across Wide Bay, Burnett and Southeast Coast districts.
The Bureau also warned of intense rainfall that may lead to dangerous and life-threatening flash flooding, as well as damaging wind gusts to around 90 km/h, possible through communities east of Bundaberg, Maryborough and Noosa Heads later tonight and through Monday.
Earlier this afternoon, campers on the Fraser Coast were told the window to leave was "probably closing".
