The face of Queensland’s police response to the pandemic says the service is “absolutely concerned” public confidence in the state’s check-in app has been hurt by its use of the data.
Deputy Commissioner Steve Gollschewski said he would back a move to lock officers out of the data through legislation, after the government promised before the expanded rollout of the Check In Qld app that data would be used only for contact tracing purposes.
