George Thorogood brought the live boogie back to Portland with the Destroyers on the 
Born to Be Bad tour on March 7, 1988.
With 7 trips to Maine over the years from 1981 to 2016, this was his first of two appearances at the
  His second and last show there was on the Boogie People tour in 1991.
The first George Thorogood concert in Portland happened at the Expo on April 4, 1985. George's earliest trip to Maine was to Saco back in November of 1981 on his 
 
I remember having the honor of being allowed going onstage to welcome the thousands of people before the first ever performance at the CCCC from George and the Destroyers.
