Sunday River Brewing Co. on Route 2 in Bethel will open under new management next week, soon to be followed by a new owner. The Savage brothers were at the center of controversy there last year for flouting pandemic mandates and railing against Gov. Janet Mills.
BETHEL — Sunday River Brewing Co. is reopening next week under new management, and soon, a new owner, according to Rick Savage, who last year drew headlines for flouting pandemic restrictions that eventually led to the business’ state liquor and restaurant licenses being tied up in court.
The restaurant is hosting a hiring event Thursday and plans call for opening its doors June 9.
