tomorrow's burst bubble or the beginning of a new story in the history of art. if it is, this collage will appear on page one. that's it from us. have a very good night. hello and welcome to our look ahead to what the the papers will be bringing us tomorrow. with me are the broadcaster david davies and the editor of labourlist, sienna rodgers. tomorrow's front pages — starting with: the guardian — it says the metropolitan police is to face an inquiry into whether it properly investigated a claim of indecent exposure, involving the suspect in the alleged murder of sarah everard. the same story makes the front page of the telegraph. it says the alleged incident, involving the police officer, took place in a restaurant last month. the i also leads with the reports about the police officer. but it also carries the tribute from sarah everard's family, who said she brought "joy" to their lives. the times says the alleged incident took place just three days before sarah everard disappeared in south london. the metro says that vigils, for female victims of male violence, are being organised following the disappearance of sarah everard. and, a different story in the financial times. it leads with warnings from brussels, over potential supply shortages of the astrazeneca vaccine. so let's begin... lovely to have you both with us. the papers were late in tonight so i think we are all reading through them, aren't we, david and sienna, because there was a lot of last—minute changes no doubt with some of the front pages. let's start with the metro. it is looking at two stories which have been dominating our front stories which have been dominating ourfront pages. of stories which have been dominating our front pages. of course, the investigation into sarah everard. we will focus on the royal family first, because that is continuing this morning. we heard from prince william. actually... in fact... we are going to look... i tell you what, the papers have been coming in so late we have been chopping and changing with our decisions. we will focus on the royal family because the metro was talking about what prince william said, sienna, just two sentences, very short statements, but he said something nonetheless during a tour he was doing this morning. yes. nonetheless during a tour he was doing this morning.— nonetheless during a tour he was doing this morning. yes. most of us did watch that — doing this morning. yes. most of us did watch that interview _ doing this morning. yes. most of us did watch that interview probably i did watch that interview probably earlier this week with harry and meghan. william has commented. we had quite a reserved statement from the palace, from the queen, but he has addressed some of the claims in that interview with oprah winfrey and said, you know, we are very much not a racist family. he had not spoken yet to his brother, he revealed. that will make people talk about how it suggests that may be the relationship there isn't that great between the two brothers if they haven't spoken yet over the phone, which is probably quite surprising, if they had been close. and the fact he has addressed this. he suggested he thought he was the best person to say that the family isn't racist. i mean... there will be different opinions as to, kind of, like, how much it matters, how much, kind of, prince william, how much, kind of, prince william, how much he assesses his own family as to whether they are racist or not. people want to know the detail, they want to know if the things mentioned in the interview were true so they can decide for themselves, probably. a lot of the papers, the telegraph also talking about this, david, but the war of the windsors is how the metro is describing it. let's take a look at the telegraph, which has got that quote, as well. we are very much not a racist family. i that quote, as well. we are very much not a racist family.- much not a racist family. i think this is a unique situation. usually in families you would expect this to be dealt with privately. but the royal family is different. they've chosen this particular model where everyone has these royal duties and is expected to behave in a certain way and get certain privileges. well, then, may be the public has a right to know how these issues have been dealt with specially as they have been aired the other story that is dominating all of the newspapers is, of course, the investigation into sarah everard, the 33—year—old woman who went missing from london, from south london, from clapham. we are seeing what is, sienna, just an outpouring of women sharing their stories of not feeling safe. it's been quite extraordinary, actually, looking at social media, just talking to friends and talking to people about how many women have these experiences. i people about how many women have these experiences.— these experiences. i think every woman is talking about this at the moment. it has been incredibly upsetting this week. i kept crying, to be honest, because, you know, every single story a woman shares, i just feel it so viscerally. it says in this write—up in the metro, it refers to a survey that came out, talking about how 97% of young women aged 18 to 2a have been sexually harassed. the important thing to remember here is that it is a spectrum of violence against women and girls. you might think that sexual harassment in the street has nothing to do with an abduction and a murder, for instance, but actually it does. those two things are linked. all of those crimes are on a certain spectrum. that's why it is so important to recognise misogyny, even when it seems not as significant, not yet classified as a hate crime, for instance. it is so important not to just dismiss that as a bit of sexism that we can let go by because, you know, it is all connected. go by because, you know, it is all connected-— go by because, you know, it is all connected. ~ . . , , ., ,. ., isn't it, sienna, because even - continue. it's a point, isn't it, sienna, because even earlier| continue. it's a point, isn't it, - sienna, because even earlier today we spoke to one of my colleagues who has been doing a lot of work on this, and he pointed out the words we had on the screen was saying something along the lines of women at risk, women's security. he was flagging up that, actually, it's about men and violence against women, and bringing men into this picture. getting men involved in the conversation. because when you speak to men, most men obviously do not... they want to help and support women. when you talk about male violence against women and girls, it is seen as a women's issue. it isn't, it is clearly a men's issue because they are the ones perpetrating the violence. it shouldn't be normal that we go out with keys on our hands. one of the saddest things i've been thinking about this week is when sexual harassment was at its absolute worst for me was when i was about 12, 13. it has declined since i was that young. it is still bad, but, you know, it actually got better as i got older. i mean, that is such a disturbing thing that so many women have been talking about this week, for instance. there is so much to talk about. i'm glad we are having the conversation but it is just so tragic and it is just so upsetting. just so tragic and it is 'ust so
