Bayliss Library celebrating reading month amidst pandemic

SAULT STE. MARIE — Even though the COVID-19 pandemic has restricted many areas of life, the Bayliss Public Library is still open at 50% capacity and celebrating reading month.
“We have been doing the best we can to meet the needs of the community during this time,” said Lisa Waskin, who has been the director of Superior District Library for the past seven years. “We are all struggling with not being able to do more at this time since that is the mission of the library to help people. It has been hard on all of the staff. We want to keep our patrons safe, our staff safe, our loved ones at home safe, but we also want to help people when they need it the most. It has been a hard line to balance on for the last year.”
