Palm Coast, FL - A months-long investigation into an armed burglary eventually leads detectives to a 21-year-old suspect who was already in jail. The initial incident began on May 25th—although law enforcement did not learn of it until later—when a weapon complaint came from a home on Rolls Royce Court. An investigation carried out by the Flagler County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) revealed that three subjects went to the "R" section home where a verbal altercation took place. The next day, two of the three subjects returned to the home and reportedly entered the property without the permission of the residents. Once they were inside, one subject, who has since been identified as Robert Cameron Wilson, approached a resident with an axe and began to threaten them and others that were at the home. At some point, one of the residents retrieved a firearm and fired around two to three shots as Wilson and another subject were standing outside, causing them to leave. No one was injured as a result of the shooting. However, one projectile and two shell casings were recovered. A month later, investigators forwarded an affidavit on Cameron to the State Attorney's Office for armed burglary. Then, a warrant for Cameron's arrest was finally signed on Thursday (December 17th) with bond set at $45,000. Luckily, investigators did not have to go far to find Cameron, as he was already booked in the Flagler County Jail. Deputies say he is in custody on an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge that stemmed from a road rage incident earlier this month. Investigators have since served the warrant and arrested Cameron again. He now remains in jail with no bond allowed.
