Attorney Laura Dennis touts courtroom experience in bid for Luzerne County judge

She thinks that’s a benefit for the job she seeks.
“My place has always been practicing law, always in a courtroom,” Dennis said Friday during an editorial board meeting with The Citizens’ Voice.
Dennis, 47, is seeking one of two Luzerne County judicial seats open in his year’s election. She will appear on both the Democrat and Republican ballot in May’s primary election.
Dennis said she’s practiced all aspects of the law during her 23-year career and feels like her experience makes her uniquely qualified.
“At this point in my career, I’m confident and comfortable asking voters for their vote,” Dennis said. “Running for judge was not a split-second decision for me.
