ssam Director General of Police (DGP) GP Singh has said that he has been getting threats from militant organisations, not just from Assam, but from other states as well. The proscribed armed insurgent group United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) has publicly threatened Singh and has demanded that he should either stop staging bogus encounters against locals or leave the state.
