VANCE FARMERS MARKET, The Vance County Regional Farmers Market is open on Saturday, June 12, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 210 Southpark Drive, Henderson. Pre-orders and curbside pick up will remain available throughout the season.
LAKE GASTON, The annual Lake Gaston Association’s Membership Meeting is on Saturday, June 12, at 9:30 a.m. and will conclude at 11 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Lake Gaston Baptist Church, located on N.C. 903 across from Subway Restaurant. Steve Hoyle, aquatic plant management, (ncsu.edu) will talk about lyngbya, the notorious Black Mat Algae. A Q&A will follow. Members will have the opportunity to vote on director nominations, and present issues and concerns to the board. The meeting is open to the public, members and non-members, so bring your friends and neighbors and come join us.
