Art walk returns Saturday

The first Second Saturday Art Walk of 2021 is planned from 3 to 5 p.m. May 8 at five venues in downtown Brookings.
Venues participating include Manley Art Center, Brian Scott and Signatures galleries, Semi Aquatic Gallery, Whimsical Griffin and Ambiance by the Sea. All venues are within two blocks of Chetco Avenue between Oak and Center streets. Masks and social distancing are required inside the buildings. The art walk will be canceled in the event of a lockdown. All venues are open for business and welcome spectators during normal operating hours.
Leslie Wilkinson is the featured artist for the month at Pelican Bay Arts Association’s (PBAA) Manley Art Center, 433 Oak St. Her show is titled “Layers: An Exploration of Alternative Process Photography and Paper Collage Embracing the Japanese Concept of Wabi-sabi.”
