ARLINGTON — The Arlington Lions Club stayed busy during the pandemic amid the need for social distancing. The nonprofit group continued to hold community events, but with protocols adapted to the public health crisis.
Club members laid out trick-or-treat bags for kids at the Arlington Recreation Park last Halloween — along with bottles of hand sanitizers. They canceled last holiday season’s lighted vehicle and tractor parade in Arlington due to safety restrictions, but decided to come up with an alternative: inviting residents to decorate their vehicles with holiday lights and drive around the community.
