Angola Inmate Dies After Fight in Prison Cell
According to the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections, while correctional officers were making routine rounds they discovered the fight, and the injured inmate was taken to the hospital.
The injured inmate would pass away in the hospital and "the other inmate involved in the fight is in investigative segregation at this time," according to the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections.
The fight occurred on Saturday night (1/16) around 11:45 pm.
The Louisiana Department of Corrections and West Feliciana Parish Sheriff's Office are currently investigating the case. Criminal charges are possible.
