STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.-- In response to the restaurant shutdown during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Great Kills resident Frank Langello, a trained chef, said he had a hunch that a takeout and delivery food business providing affordable meal items to homebound people could be a money-maker.
That’s why he teamed up with Kevin Herbert of New Dorp to open The Sandwich Shop in Great Kills on July 6.
