QUINCY — City leaders will be holding a forum on anti-Asian racism next week amid a rise of reported hate crimes and discrimination tied to the pandemic.
The virtual forum will take place at 7 p.m. March 23 and will be hosted by Norfolk County District Attorney Michael Morrissey, state Rep.Tackey Chan, Quincy Police Chief Paul Keenan, Quincy Asian Resources, Inc. Chief Executive Philip Chong and others.
"The pandemic was just a tipping point for anti-Asian racism that's been in this country for many many years," Chong said. "It is important for people to speak up and not accept discrimination. They shouldn't tolerate it. It's really disturbing."
