Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy's founding principal, Christine Stoudt, has held fast to a motto over her 27 years in education — "Always move forward."
"If, in education, we think we have arrived we're mistaken," Stoudt said. "We always have to be growing and moving with the community and its needs. It's our job as educators to move every kid forward."
The idea has been a driver for her, whether teaching middle school English or opening brand-new schools, like Baton Rouge Charter Academy at Mid City in 2013 and ARCA in Youngsville in 2014.
Now she plans to take those words with her as she "moves forward" to Nashville this summer to open another new charter school, her third.
