The victim died at the Federal Medical Centre, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
With the death of the victim, who was said to have sustained severe burns, the death toll has now risen from three to four, DAILY POST can report.
A statement by the FMC Abeokuta spokesman, Segun Orisajo, confirmed that the 42-year-old deceased man presented with 96% flame burn injury.
On admission, Orisajo explained that the deceased and two others were placed on intravenous fluid resuscitation in accordance with the established protocols for the management of burns.
However, he stated that the patient, who was scheduled for dialysis due to his difficulty in passing urine, died in the early hours of Thursday before dialysis could be carried out on him.
