The Nigerian police have denied that gold worth N700 million was stolen from the quarters of the Inspector General of Police. A petition sent to Amnesty International had said the stolen jewellery belonged to Principal Staff Officer 3 to the IGP. But the police on Wednesday denied the allegation.
