61-year-old man arraigned over allegedly N1.7m land fraud

A 61-year-old man, Azeez Popoola has been arraigned before an Osogbo Magistrates’ Court over N1.7m land fraud.
The accused person allegedly committed the offence in March 2020 around 10:30am at Oke Mokin, Igigogoro area in Osogbo.
The police prosecutor, ASP Fagboyinbo Abiodun told the court that the accused person obtained the sum of N1,280,000 from one Abdulazeez Moshood on the pretence to sell a plot of land knowing that it was false.
The prosecutor said the accused person on the same day, time and place also obtained the sum of N460,000 from one Tunde Adewale on the pretence of giving him a plot of land.
