Supervisors Approve Change Orders and Get Update on Spirit Lake Shop

Spirit Lake, IA (KICD)– Work is continuing on the new shop in Spirit Lake for the Dickinson County Road Department after some changes were made to allow for cold weather work.
County Engineer Dan Eckert told the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday the original plan was to pour concrete BEFORE putting up the building, but that would have stopped winter work.
The Board of Supervisors approved over eight thousand dollars worth of change orders for the project on Tuesday after the county “saved” around a million dollars between the original estimate and the winning bid.
