'A sad day for Des Plaines': Four children, one adult killed in fire

A home on the 700 block of West Oakton Street in Des Plaines was boarded up late Wednesday afternoon, hours after four young sisters and a woman were killed in a fire there. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.

A fire on the 700 block of West Oakton Street in Des Plaines claimed the lives of four young children and a woman. Officials said all of the victims are family members.
