He has taught in Sacramento at the Way of Japan Karate School. He also taught when he was in the Air Force at Beale AFB, and at the Shotokan Karate Schools Inc. in Oroville, CA. He has owned and operated previous karate dojos in Susanville, CA and in Alturas, CA.. . Charles Gray Sensei later became the head of The U.S. Shinote Karate Association through the Shoto Kai. Charles Gray also had a sister organization called The U.S. National Karate Confederation Inc. Miran Reynolds then earned his third degree black belt under Charles Gray in 1990.. .
