[email protected] HUGHESVILLE Although it’s still in the preliminary stages, the budget figures for the East Lycoming School District revealed a possible .58 increase in the real estate millage for the 2021-22 fiscal year. With this increase, the district’s millage would be increased from 14.38 to 14.96 and residents could expect to see an extra $58 per $100,000 of their property’s assessed value, added to their tax bill. This first budget presentation was made by Heather Burke, District Business Manager, at the school board’s meeting Tuesday. The final budget is expected to be approved in May. The proposed general fund budget of $26,747,820 reflects a total increase of $647,700 or 2.59 percent over the 2020-21 budget. ....
