.-Hamptons Fine Art Fair, the inaugural international fine art fair from the producers of ShowHamptons, has announced their 2021 exhibitor list, featuring artworks by 70 select national and international galleries, with 51 in-person booths and the remaining exhibiting in online virtual reality booths. For the first time ever, Hamptons Fine Art Fair will take place inside and amongst the beautiful grounds of the historic Southampton Arts Center, a unique opportunity for art lovers and patrons to purchase important works in the museum. .- Over the course of his seven-decade career, acclaimed artist Knox Martin has engaged with a wide range of artistic movements, from Cubism to Abstract Expressionism to Pop Art, establishing his own distinct style. On July 8, Hollis Taggart opened an exhibition that explores Martin’s particular affinity toward Francisco Goya and the ways in which that artist has served as an important source of inspiration for Martin since childhood. The exhibition, titled Knox Martin: Homage to Goya, features a selection of drawings from Martin’s series, titled Caprichos, which the artist has been evolving for several decades. .- At this year’s LA Art Show, Rehs Contemporary will present a selection of works featuring some of the most iconic Marvel Comic characters; paintings completed by David Palumbo for Marvel Masterpieces 2020. At the art fair, which takes place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from July 29- August 1st, 2021, there will be a dozen works from the series on display; the first in-person viewing since they were unveiled. Back in 1992, the non-sport trading card industry was transformed by an ambitious new release – Marvel Masterpieces. Every other year, Upper Deck Entertainment and Skybox team up with a single artist to release a new premium set of trading cards. It is the artist’s job to put their own unique spin on iconic superheroes and villains… David Palumbo was selected to complete the most recent set, which was put out last year.
