Hit-and-run driver sought by police The Fenton Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run, which occurred at 2:38 p.m., Wednesday, April 14, at the intersection of Fenway Drive and Grant Street. Lt. Jeff Cross said a grey Dodge Dakota struck a vehicle at that intersection and then fled the scene traveling westbound on Owen Road. Cross said the Dodge drove over barrels on Owen Road prior to getting on northbound U.S. 23. The vehicle was last seen exiting the highway at Grand Blanc Road. The vehicle has heavy front-end damage and it was losing fluids. No injuries were reported. If anyone recognizes this Dodge Dakota or has information on the driver, they to call Fenton police at (810) 629-5311.

COVID-19 vaccinations begin in Holly for EMS workers

COVID-19 vaccinations began in Holly on Sunday, Dec. 20 around 8:45 a.m. at the old fire department building.  EMS workers lined up in their cars and waited to pull into the garage and receive the first round of vaccinations. Holly Village Fire Chief Steve McGee was one of the first in line.  This began phase 1A of vaccinations in Oakland County, which come from Pfizer/BioNTech, for EMS workers in the county, including those from the Holly Village Fire Department. Oakland County Health Division public health nurses operated the station, checked people in and administered 118 doses on Sunday, said Bill Mullan, Oakland County communications officer.
