More than 200 firefighters from 20 departments were on scene in downtown Holly on Tuesday, June 21 to battle the fire that destroyed one business and severely damaged others.
COVID-19 vaccinations began in Holly on Sunday, Dec. 20 around 8:45 a.m. at the old fire department building.Â
EMS workers lined up in their cars and waited to pull into the garage and receive the first round of vaccinations. Holly Village Fire Chief Steve McGee was one of the first in line.Â
This began phase 1A of vaccinations in Oakland County, which come from Pfizer/BioNTech, for EMS workers in the county, including those from the Holly Village Fire Department. Oakland County Health Division public health nurses operated the station, checked people in and administered 118 doses on Sunday, said Bill Mullan, Oakland County communications officer.Â
