MERIDEN — One day before National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, the Meriden Council of Neighborhoods provided breakfast and supper for officers on Friday. 
Today has been designated National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day by the U.S. Department of Justice.
“It’s a way to honor police officers for everything they do every single day. Their hard work, commitment and all the effort they put into our neighborhoods never goes unrecognized,” said Holly Wills, president of the neighborhood group.  ....
