MILLERSBURG The Holmes County Republican Executive Committee met Thursday and reappointed Mark Baserman Jr. to represent the party on the Holmes County Board of Elections.
Baserman will serve a new four-year term beginning March 1. The county board of elections includes two Republicans and two Democrats, appointed by their respective Party Executive Committees, and is responsible for ensuring fair and orderly elections in the county.
The other Republican member on the board of elections is Wes Schmucker of Berlin.
The Republican Central Committee convened immediately following the Executive Committee meeting and appointed Dr. Leon Miller as county coroner, ratifying the temporary appointment made by the county commissioners in January. ....
