BATAVIA â The availability of COVID-19 clinics continues to expand in the GLOW region. The Genesee and Orleans County health departments will be on the road next week with âpop-up clinics,â officials said, while the Pfizer vaccine is now able to vaccinate anyone 12 years old and older. Clinics with Johnson & Johnson and Moderna vaccines will be available for walk-in and registration. Pfizer clinics are by registration only. âWe are happy to be able to provide the pop-up clinics between the two counties,â said Public Health Director Paul Pettit in a news release. âWith the shift in bringing clinics close to where people live, work, and play and being more flexible with the scheduling, now is a great opportunity for more people to get vaccinated. Being fully vaccinated, two weeks after the second dose for Moderna and Pfizer, and two weeks after the single dose of Johnson & Johnson will help us enjoy the spring and summer activities with less ....

From noon to 12:30 p.m., the library will hold a Noon Yearâs Eve Virtual Dance Party via Zoom video conferencing. âCome dance with us to celebrate 2021,â library staff said. One event that will not take place today is the annual Le Roy First Night event and fireworks display, which had been scheduled for 9 p.m. The festivities have been canceled, the village said. ALBION - More fundraisers are set to help the three families who lost everything when fire destroyed their houses Dec. 5. John Wragg, owner of Torquil Studios in Middleport, along with Albion Lions Club and Masonic Lodge of Medina and Albion are organizing a concert that will be livestreamed on Facebook Sunday. The event is from 1 to 5 p.m., with all the musicians performing from Wraggâs studio. The lineup includes Bob Beccue, Linda Logan, Mike Hartman, Highway 31 Unplugged and Jonesie and the Cruisers.
