The first-term lawmaker from Colorado s 3rd Congressional District will speak in person at the high-profile get-together, which will take place June 18 and 19 at the Hyatt Regency Denver, as well as star in a thirty-minute documentary about Second Amendment rights to be released in conjunction with her appearance. The bill, which prohibits the abortion of babies diagnosed with Down syndrome or based on sex, is now being considered by the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

(CNS News) On May 25, State Rep. Kate Klunk (R-York County) led the Pennsylvania House Health Committee in approving “Down syndrome protection legislation,” HB 1500, by a vote of 15-10. The bill, which prohibits the abortion of babies diagnosed with Down syndrome or based on sex, is now being considered by the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
As the legislation states, “An abortion shall not be deemed a necessary abortion if any of the following apply: (i) The abortion is sought because of the sex of the unborn child. (ii) The abortion is sought because the unborn child receives a prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome.”
