Renovated NEHARI Complex to be Inaugurated on Jan 14
The North Eastern Hydraulic and Allied Research Institute complex will be inaugurated by Union Minister of Jal Shakti Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on January 14.

GUWAHATI: TheNorth Eastern Hydraulic and Allied Research Institute (NEHARI) at Rudreswar in North Guwahati which was undergoing renovation will be inaugurated on January 14 by Central Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
Established under the Brahmaputra Board as per clause 7 of Assam Accord, NEHARI was operationalized during 1996. The main functions of NEHARI are material testing, carrying out Hydraulic model studies etc. Facilities such as Hydraulic Laboratory with model trays and flumes and Laboratories for testing soil, concrete, other construction materials and foundation rock exist in the institute. The research institute is used for evaluation of various river-based Central and State governments projects by experts. ....
