World-leading renewable hydrogen Certification project in Canberra

Smart Energy Council
The Smart Energy Council has today announced ActewAGL’s hydrogen refuelling station in Canberra will be the first project to be certified under our world-leading Zero Carbon Certification Scheme.
The ACT Government has also been announced as a Founding Partner in the Zero Carbon Certification Scheme.
ACT Minister for Energy and Emissions Reduction, Shane Rattenbury, said:
“Certification of hydrogen is really important. We want to make sure customers know where the hydrogen is coming from so they can make the smart choice for the future.”
“Some in Australia want to keep the fossil fuel sector alive through hydrogen. Renewable hydrogen is the only feasible approach.” ....

Australian body launches renewable hydrogen certification scheme

Australia s Smart Energy Council, an industry body for solar, storage and smart energy, has announced that it will develop a certification scheme for renewable hydrogen, renewable ammonia, renewable metals and other hydrogen derivatives within Australia.
The Zero Carbon Certification Scheme will certify that renewable hydrogen, green ammonia and green metals have been produced from renewable sources and will provide an embedded carbon rating.
The scheme aims to boost the uptake and distribution of renewable hydrogen, green ammonia and green metals in Australia and around the world, including by giving information to customers on the source of their products and how they are made. ....
