What did the region s MPs say?
On the whole, they defended the government s record.
According to North Norfolk MP Duncan Baker, there was never a blueprint to tackle the Covid-19 crisis, and the government has done well in distributing financial support to the public through schemes like Eat Out to Help Out and furlough.
He said that while there was things we could have done better - such as closing the borders earlier and providing more clarity to schools - the response was by and large capable.
Likewise, George Freeman, MP for mid-Norfolk, said the pandemic exposed long incubated serious weaknesses in UK public health systems , but also demonstrated community spirit, local joint-working, dedication of frontline health staff and the brilliance of the life science sector.

Almost 60,000 over-80s in Norfolk and Waveney have received a Covid jab, with just a few days left for health bosses to meet their 100pc target.
Fresh data published by NHS England today shows 58,730 people in the oldest priority group have had their first dose of the vaccine.

That is 82pc of the overall number of patients in the region aged 80 and above.
It is hoped the remaining 18pc will get their jabs by the end of the month.
This has really helped make things run smoothly for the vaccination roll out.
“I’d also like to thank the wonderful volunteer stewards who have helped people with parking and signposting – it’s been a real team effort and we’re looking forward to helping to protect many more people from COVID-19 over the coming months.”

With Hayden Chemist now offering the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week, after the opening day pharmacist Sunny Dhanoa - co-owner of the Hayden Chemists Group - said: “Today marks the first day for us where we can actively contribute to the fight against this pandemic and support the most vulnerable in our community.
