A NEIGHBOUR heard screams of terror during the alleged murder of a 22-year-old, stabbed to death inside his Redditch flat.
Three men are charged with the murder of Colton Bryan in Guinness Close, Redditch and a fourth man, believed to have wielded the knife, is understood to have fled the country in the wake of the killing which left blood all over the floor and walls .
Adam Carpenter, 21, of Wharrington Hill, Redditch, Faisal Fiaz, 21, of Millsbro Road, Redditch and Mohammed Saddam Hussain, 25, of Oakfield Avenue, Birmingham are on trial at Worcester Crown Court. All three men deny murder and conspiracy to rob following the stabbing shortly after 9.30pm on July 15 last year. ....

Colton Bryan: Redditch murder trial jury sworn in at Worcester Crown Court
A MURDER trial is about to begin with the jury sworn today and expected to begin hearing evidence this Wednesday.
Adam Carpenter, Faisal Fiaz and Mohammed Hussain all deny murder and conspiracy to commit robbery following the death of 22-year-old Colton Bryan in Redditch in July last year.
The jury of six men and six women was sworn shortly after 12.30pm today (Monday).
The defendants to stand trial on the two count indictment are: Adam Carpenter, 21, of Wharrington Hill, Redditch; Faisal Fiaz, 21, of Millsbro Road, Redditch and Mohammed Hussain, 25, of Oakfield Avenue, Oakfield Road, Birmingham. The three men are alleged to have committed the murder in Guinness Close, Redditch on July 15 last year. ....

Calls for council to fully repair, 'not just patch up' Highfield Avenue, Dovercourt

CALLS for a council to completely resurface a road instead of “patching it up” following failed repair works are being made by residents.
David Rutson, of Highfield Avenue, in Dovercourt, has hit out about the “botched” repair works on his road.
Resurfacing was carried out a year ago, but due to cracks appearing and the road becoming uneven again, Essex County Council started patching work on Monday.
However, Mr Rutson has blasted the council for not resurfacing the entire road.
The pensioner said: “Why is the council wasting money?
“This is the third attempt at repair works to Highfield Avenue I know of. ....

Parents of disabled young people have been left “devastated” by the closure of two care centres in the north-east.
The joint board run by Aberdeenshire Council and NHS Grampian has agreed to close Highfield in Banchory and Robertson Road in Fraserburgh.
The closure of the Banchory facility comes at a time when reports indicate it is experiencing a downturn demand. ....
