Heli-One, a leading provider of helicopter maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services, announced today that it is working with Leonardo Helicopters to establish their AW139 Main Gear Box (MGB) MRO capability as an Authorized Component Repair Center for Leonardo. This new capability is being established at the Heli-One Canada facility in Delta, British Columbia, and will give operators additional options for MGB maintenance services.
Leonardo’s AW139 helicopters are flown globally in a variety of missions including: EMS (emergency medical services), SAR (search and rescue), VIP (very important persons), law enforcement and offshore transport as well as public service and government applications. This new capability will enable AW139 operators with more support options from an Authorized Component Repair Center. Advanced Composite Structures (ACS) announced that Tim Starn and Justin Barnett have joined the ACS team as vice presidents of sales.

Mr. Starn will be responsible for developing business opportunities with first responder agencies, HEMS and commercial operators. Mr. Barnett will be focusing his sales efforts on large civil fleets for oil and gas customers.
Mr. Starn has over 20 years of aviation experience as a tactical flight officer and CFII. He served as a helicopter unit commander for the Costa Mesa Police Department and member cities in Orange County, California, where he supervised operations, maintenance, coordinated funding strategies, grant development, vendor selection, administered RFP’s and RFQ’s, and was a member of Homeland Security Div. 1A. ....
