2022 VW Tiguan (Allspace) Debuts With Golf Looks, New Tech And More Premium Cabin

Although the standard wheelbase Tiguan was already facelifted in Europe, the long-wheelbase version (known as the Allspace in Europe and simply as the Tiguan in North America) has finally joined in on the fun.
That means new exterior design, new interior design, new tech, new colors, and more. Since this is just an update, though, some things, like engines, will stay the same.
A Modest Exterior Refresh
As with the short wheelbase version, the longer Tiguan’s visual updates are mostly limited to the front and the rear. At the front, the biggest update will be in the form of new headlights. With new LED light signatures, its design comes more in line with the language established by the Mk8 Golf. ....

2022 Volkswagen Taos Boasts Impressive Fuel Economy

Here s how little gasoline the crossover will burn.
Volkswagen revealed the official fuel economy figures from the EPA for its new Taos, just a few days after announcing pricing information. All Taos models include a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine developing 158 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel-drive models use a traditional eight-speed automatic transmission, while the AWD version receives a seven-speed dual-clutch box. This power output isn t outstanding even by subcompact crossover standard, but it s far from the bottom of the heap.
The EPA rates the front-wheel drive Taos at 28/36/31 mpg city/highway/combined, making it tied for best-in-class highway fuel economy with the Nissan Kicks. Keep in mind though, the Kicks is considerably smaller than the Taos and only offers a naturally aspirated engine with 122 hp.
