Some travel lanes near the Henderson Bridge in East Providence and Providence will close starting Monday as part of a $84.4-million bridge replacement project, according to the Rhode Island Department of Transportation. The state is replacing the 2,000-foot bridge, which carries traffic over the Seekonk River, with a narrower structure that will include a shared-use bike path.
