Regulators cite more Minnesota eateries for violating Walz order


 
The Interchange in Albert Lea, Cornerstone in Monticello, and The Pour House in Clarks Grove have joined a growing list of eateries that have ignored Gov. Tim Walz’s executive order aimed and slowing the spread of the coronavirus.  The Health Department also issued a cease-and-desist order to Hooligans Lakeside, in rural Lake Park, for violating the executive orders.
Others facing similar suspensions are Boardwalk Bar and Grill in East Grand Forks, Alibi Drinkery in Lakeville, Mission Tavern in Merrifield, and Neighbors on the Rum in Princeton. All of the businesses cited for violating the order will have hearings before an administrative law judge. ....

3 more businesses face liquor license suspensions after defying COVID-19 restrictions

The Minnesota Department of Public Safety Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division has notified three restaurants they could have their liquor licenses suspended for 60 days after they violated state COVID-19 restrictions on indoor dining.
Cornerstone Cafe, in Monticello; The Interchange, in Albert Lea; and The Pour House, in Clarks Grove, all face liquor license suspensions pending a hearing before an administrative judge, the DPS said in a statement Saturday. The establishments were all observed serving customers alcohol for indoors on-premises consumption, going against Gov. Tim Walz s executive order prohibiting indoor dining.
“We’re asking the small percentage of bars and restaurants that have opened for inside dining and drinking to stop and comply with the executive order,” Public Safety Commissioner John Harrington said in a statement. “Thousands of our neighbors have died from CO ....

Minnesota suspends liquor licenses for 3 restaurants for coronavirus safety violations

Minnesota officials have notified three restaurants that they face a 60-day suspension of their liquor licenses for violating the governor’s coronavirus restrictions on indoor dining.
The Department of Public Safety s alcohol and gambling enforcement division notified the establishments on Saturday that they would face a hearing before a judge, after which their license may be reinstated.
The Cornerstone Café, The Interchange and The Pour House were all observed serving customers indoors in violation of Gov. Tim Walz’s executive order, the Star Tribune reported. The Cornerstone is in Monticello, The Interchange is in Albert Lea, and The Pour House is in Clarks Grove. ....
