At the Harry S Truman Visitor Center and throughout the wooded trails you will visit the Hooper House, Concord School House and an 1850’s homestead. Spend some time at the Civil War and Mountain Man Camps. As you stroll the trails you will find a variety of entertainment on the stage of the Trailside Theater and on the porches of the early American homes. There is lots of bluegrass singin’, fiddlin’ and storytellin’. Satisfy your hunger at several spots along the trails that feature foods from back in the day as well as kid friendly foods. For modern crafts take the shuttle to Drake Harbor, West Harrison Street where you will find over 200 vendors offering everything from handcrafted items to food. ....

Hawkins County is hosting a couple of self-guided Christmas light tours including a Rogersville Heritage Association event that replaces the annual indoor Christmas Tour of Historic Homes. This yearâs RHA Christmas tour features 10 homeowners who have entered an exterior decorating contest and have agreed to be judged by the public online.
