April 5, 2021 Salah Hassan, Distinguished Professor of Arts and Sciences in Africana Studies, has been elected as the 2021 Distinguished Scholar by the College Art Association, the largest and oldest scholarly and professional association in the field of art history. The honor was celebrated with a special session at the CAA 2021 Annual Meeting in February. Salah Hassan Hassan, an art historian, art critic and curator, is an expert on African and African Diaspora art history and visual cultures.
