Noah Downes suffered this head injury after falling on ice on his way to Shirley Manor Primary School A PARENT whose four-year-old son suffered a nasty gash to his forehead after slipping on an icy pavement has called for the council to provide more grit to his son’s school. Noah Downes had to be taken to hospital via ambulance after the fall on his way to Shirley Manor Primary School in Wyke on Wednesday. Shirley Manor has been in a three-year battle with Bradford Council to get more grit to put on pavements leading to the school, including some on a sharp slope, due to the dangers posed by ice to pupils and parents. ....
IT seems only yesterday that the glitz and glamour of the T&A s Education Awards was taken into cyberspace for 2020. The annual ceremony was unique from the previous six years in that it took place in September rather than March. Even more unusual was the fact the event went virtual , with Steve Lowe, Sales Director at LocaliQ Bradford, presenting the awards live over Zoom. The change in schedule - and format - was all down to the coronavirus pandemic, which led to the first UK lockdown being imposed just three days before the original awards were meant to have taken place. ....
