George Floyd, the hammer of justice sounded loudly on all three counts he faced.
The video of Chauvin’s neck on Floyd’s neck for more than nine minutes was damning enough. There was more, though. Throughout the ordeal, the smug, superior expression on Chauvin’s face told volumes about the disregard he had for Floyd’s life.

This wasn’t a routine arrest over Floyd’s passing of a counterfeit $20 bill. Chauvin’s action that day was racism at its diabolical worst.
Hillsborough Republicans break from local GOP to launch alternative political committee, GOTV initiative
Democrats currently control the Hillsborough County Commission and all of its constitutional offices.
Several high-profile Hillsborough County Republicans are launching a Florida political committee for registering voters to “close the gap” reduce or eliminate the county’s Democratic voter advantage.
The effort essentially creates an alternative wing of the Hillsborough GOP to boost countywide performance at the polls that has been struggling over the past three election cycles.
