A Hillsborough County Deputy now dubbed “Crocodile Dun-Wheatee” is credited with relocating two alligators to the water in one month.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, an officer by the name of Deputy Wheaton helped return a 10-foot long alligator back to the water at the beginning of last month and followed that up with giving a 4-foot long alligator a lift back to a pond using only a broomstick at the end of last month.
In the more recent alligator incident, Wheaton and two other deputies responded after a 911 caller reported that an alligator was sleeping underneath a car in a residential neighborhood, according to the HCSO.
