PETALING JAYA: Ties between Malaysia and Japan was further strengthened with the presentation of personal protective equipment (PPE) for local frontliners. The Japan International Cooperation Agency (Jica) presented RM653,940 worth of isolation gowns, coveralls, N95 masks and gloves to the National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma) in a virtual event yesterday. Japanese Ambassador to Malaysia Hiroshi Oka said the presentation symbolised the extensive network that Jica has cultivated through many years of activity in Malaysia. “The idea of providing the PPE came up during a conversation with Jica and Nadma on ways to respond to the ongoing pandemic. ....

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb. 11: The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) today handed over personal protective equipment (PPE) worth close to RM654,000 – which includes isolation gowns, coverall, gloves and masks – to the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) to be distributed to frontliners to fight COVID-19. Director-General of NADMA, Datuk Dr Aminuddin Hassim, said the generous contribution from Japan through JICA is a manifestation of strong bilateral ties between Malaysia and Japan and that JICA plays a significant role in supporting the socio-economic development and helping countries in the region to recover from the pandemic. “NADMA will make full use of PPE and will handover the items to police, army, Civil Defence Force and the People’s Volunteer Corps (RELA) who worked tirelessly during the Movement Control Order period. ....

Located within NTT Cyberjaya Campus, Cyberjaya 5 (CBJ5) spans 107,000 square feet and houses 6.5MW of critical IT load, running as Tier IV ready to provide customers with “flexible and scalable” power and a cooling solution of up to 15kW/rack. In addition, CBJ5 operates a cooling wall system designed to offer enhanced power and cost efficiency to support “high density” hyperscalers as well as “heavy corporate users” in Malaysia. ....
04 February 2021 | Abigail Opiah NTT Ltd. has announced the launch of its fifth data centre in Malaysia, located within the company’s Cyberjaya campus. The new data centre, known as Cyberjaya 5 (CBJ5), spans across 107,000 square feet and is designed to meet the requirements of hyperscalers and enterprises. CBJ5 has 6.5MW of critical IT load and it boasts a Tier IV1 modular design. The data centre also has a cooling wall system. “NTT in Malaysia has been successfully operating the Cyberjaya campus data centre for over 24 years,” said Hiroshi Oka, Ambassador of Japan to Malaysia. “Its expansion and growth are testimonies to Malaysia’s success in becoming the regional data centre hub in ASEAN. ....
