All seven sites are open from 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday. The Culver Centre, Hume Avenue, and Billet Lane sites will also be open between 9am and 12pm on Saturday 15 May. The council will continue to review drop-off site provision and seek opportunities to add additional sites and hours of operation where possible.
Cllr Andrew Jefferies, Cabinet Member for Environment, said: “These sites have been established temporarily as a result of the disruption to household collections caused by the strike action being taken by Unite the Union. They have been created to give residents an opportunity to get rid of the waste most likely to generate an odour. The sites will be closed as soon as collections can return to normal.
TOMORROW (Saturday 24 April) three drive-through waste drop-off sites will be open from 9am until 12pm for residents to dispose of bagged household waste.
There are usually five drop-off points open 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. As a pilot this weekend three of the sites will be open on Saturday morning as well:

Waste cannot be collected or left at the site after 12pm so it is important that residents make sure they take any bagged waste they want to drop off to these sites before they close.

SINGAPORE: A civil works contract has been awarded for the new Hume MRT station on the Downtown Line, which is slated to open in 2025, said the Land Transport Authority (LTA) on Thursday (Jan 14).
The contract, valued at S$34.3 million, was awarded to JSM Construction Group, said the authority in a news release.

Located along Upper Bukit Timah Road between Hillview and Beauty World stations, Hume station will serve existing homes along Hume Avenue and provide more convenient access to the Rail Corridor (Central) and the Former Ford Factory, said LTA.
