Loyola honor students whine about class assignment: Reading the Bible Thursday, April 15, 2021 | Bob Kellogg (OneNewsNow.com) Spanish Students at a well-known Catholic university are complaining over a classroom assignment: They are required to read the Bible as part of an honors course. The complaints from Loyola University students were shared during a Zoom meeting sponsored by the school’s BIPOC Coalition, campus watchdog The College Fix reported last month. “I personally did not like reading the Bible whatsoever, in any capacity,” a student identified as Himani Soni tells fellow students at one point. “I absolutely hated it.” A second student, who says she is Jewish, complains in particular about reading the Book of Genesis because, she says, reading that book is “done from a very Christian perspective.” ....
